Stonecutters 1 V Craic Merchants 2 for a long time in this game it looked as if Clonlara lads Cutters would take all three points. In the end Steve Gleeson's Merchants scored two late goals to grab the points from under Eoin Begleys side nose. Alan O Connell had a chance early on for Cutters when a cross from Brain Woods sent him clear but his shot was saved by Declan Barriscale. Another chance for the Cutters fell to Paul Collins but once again Barriscale was on hand to divert the ball over the bar. Cutters took a deserved lead when Begley found Kevin Nolan and the Ballynanty striker made no mistake from close in. With only minutes left Merchants levelled when Len Earls pass was smashed to the net by Kieran Keough. Worse was to follow for Begley's babes. Robbie Carey started the move that was to seal the points for Merchants when he won a ball in the middle of the Park.
