Lightning 5 v Reds 1

A John O'Sullivan Hatrick was just part of the story that saw Lightning leap frog Reds in to second place in the table and keep their title challenge alive.

Reds were rocked by two early goals from Lightning in the opening minutes of the game, that in truth Reds never recovered from. A free kick from outside the box expertly guided into the back of the net by John Lysaght leaving keeper John Fitzgerald  stranded and a cracking goal form  Derek White when he rose highest in the box to nod home a smashing cross from the right.

Reds upped  the pace wth Leslie Barrett and Ray O'Halloran spreading the ball and looking for openings and got back into the game with a well taken penalty from Robbie Kelleher.

However with a man of the match performance from John O'Sullivan gave Lightning deserved the win and keeps their season on track.
