Limerick Brakes 1 v D Galacticos 1 Brakes had everything to play for after the top teams finished level in the previous game. However Derek Casey’s side were very flat on the night and were lucky to emerge with a share of the points. DG’s on the other hand continue to improve and played with skill and patience. The game burst into action when Mike Vaughan’s pass found Rob Kulasanki and he sent a blockbuster of a shot to the top corner of the net. The big question was did it go into the net. DG’s were insistent that it did not go in and a lot of supporters around the ground would agree with them. However the referee disagreed and awarded the goal. However fair play to Jamie Dundon’s lads they got on with the game and never let this setback upset them. DG’s played their way back into the game with Paddy Koyce and Derek Mulcahy getting on top in the middle of the Park. They grabbed the equaliser with ten minutes to go when Dundon found Mulcahy and he beat keeper Mike Moloney with a smashing shot. With time running out DG’s had a great chance to win the game when Anthony McCormack found himself free inside the box but his deft chip sailed just over.
