Lightning dominated possession early and were rewarded when John O'Sullivan converted from close in, but Declan McGrath's men were determined to have a go at it and with Tom Walsh, (just back from injury) and Eddie Price looking dangerous, it looked for a while that an equaliser would come. However under the watchful eye of Damien Patton, Lightning got a second when David O'Brien grabbed a goal that secured all the points for Lightning.

Once again we salute the tireless work by managers Daminen Patton for Lightning and Declan McGrath for Scoopers in the many texts, and phone calls and the money they collect to keep the show on the road. Well done to both teams and good luck in the upcoming Cup and Plate.
