Briersfield 6 v Merchants 0

Merchants gallantly hung in for long periods of this game, made it a contest and came close to levelling at 1-1, before a rampant Briersfield opened up and scored 6 unanswered goals to head into the end of the season at the top of the table, no one can catch them now.  Goals this evening came from Tom Murphy, Eddie Shine, John Gibbons, 2 from Paul Fitzgerld and one from super sub John Riordan.

Again, we salute both managers for their commitment  and hard work, for newcomers Merchants and Steve Gleeson, who have continued to improve throughout the season and to Darren Shine who has brought Briersfield to the current excellent standard in only their 3rd season in the LWL. Well done in the League and good luck to both teams in the Cup and Plate competitions.
